Why a facelift? There are many reasons why a facelift may be desirable. Stress, smoking, the Ultra Violet rays of the sun or even just your genes may have caused distressing changes in the appearance of your neck and face. A typical facelift will firm the facial skin and delicate small muscles of the tissues lying just under the skin (SMAS layer). The sagging tissues can be gently lifted back into their original position where they were before the aging process affected them.

With Professor Graewe, you receive the advice and treatment of an expert in the field of face lifting. He will enable you to avoid any unnatural, stiff or mask-like appearance which otherwise might appear. A successful face lifting is the result of a highly trained surgeon with a natural talent and sensitivity for beauty and aesthetics. You are invited to inform yourself about a facelift in a personal consultation and view "before and after" pictures of our patients.

Mini-facelift
This is a gentle surgical procedure for smaller, more natural changes with very little scarring. Used to correct saggy "chipmunk" cheeks by tightening up the supporting facial muscles, this lift results in a convincing restoration of youthful appearance and young facial proportions. The recovery process is faster due to smaller, minimal incisions and very little scarring.

Facelift / Necklift
Here is a procedure that lifts cheeks, temples and neck areas through tightening the supporting facial muscles (SMAS-technique). This combination face and neck lifting is done in a way which, after proper healing, results in only barely visible scars located behind and in the ears.

Mid-face lift
If there is a problem with sunken, hollow cheeks, this `Beverly Hills` type procedure is most recommended because it only involves incisions on the inside of the mouth and behind the hairline of the temples, which results in minimal scarring. The cheeks are gently raised to give a youthful, better appearance and the naso-labial creases are reduced while facial tissues are lifted and firmed to restore a younger look. Scarring is hidden behind the hairline and is virtually non-visible.

A Youthful Face through Lipofilling
With each passing year, a woman's facial structure changes due to the shrinking of the fatty tissues found just under the facial skin. The face may look longer, even haggard. Using your own body-fat tissues, sunken cheeks, skin creases and wrinkles can be filled out again. Laugh lines, frown lines on the forehead, creases or too thin lips and chin can be filled in and built up. This gentle procedure creates a young and healthy facial contour and is to be recommended over methods involving injection of permanent or non permanent foreign substances because a proper application of your own body's fat cells can give excellent, long-lasting improvement. Your own fat cells are injected through such small injection sites that normally there are no visible scars.
