Liposuction treats troublesome fat deposits and
problem areas. Bulges and fatty problem areas develop because of hereditary
factors coupled with our eating habits and life style. The contours of your body
can be permanently improved if you consider all of the contributing factors and
work actively on a long-term improvement in support of your operation.
A
combination of liposuction and endermologie has proven to result in a high
degree of success. Through endermologie treatments before and after the surgery,
swelling has been reduced, recovery has been quicker and, because of the
resulting stimulating effect on the skin, dimpling and uneven areas are very
seldom present.
At the same time, you should be sure to eat correctly
and get a healthy amount of exercise. For very small problem areas, the
minimally invasive treatment with injection-lipolysis (LINK) can be effective.
Here as well, a combination of endermologie and ultra-sound treatments bring the
best results.
Typical problem areas which can be treated with liposuction
are the outer thighs (Jodphers), hips, inner thighs, abdomen, knees, calves and
double chin.
To perform liposuction Prof. Graewe uses the modern
tumescence technique. The fatty tissue is infiltrated with a special liquid
solution, which prepares and numbs the area. The liposuction follows using
especially small cannulas which, when used with the correct operating technique,
gently and evenly remove the fat. Liposuction is, however, not suited for
treating extreme overweight. In cases of extremely high body weight, the risks
are far greater and the results often less satisfactory.
You will want
the advice of a trained expert in deciding whether or not a liposuction is the
best treatment for you. In a private consultation, you can reach a decision
together with your surgeon that will guide you in reaching your goal. We are
happy to provide you with the information you need about the possibilities of
liposuction and show you "before and after" photographs of our patients.
