Corrective surgery for the
nose is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgeries. My goal in
performing such a surgery is to achieve the most beautiful "look" for the nose
while preserving and improving its important natural functions. The nose can be
made smaller, larger or straighter. The tip of the nose can be reshaped and the size of the nostrils can be surgically changed to improve appearance.
My
goal as your surgeon for a corrective nose operation is to provide you with a
personal, individually developed concept that fits your need for an attractive,
natural-looking nose that fits well with your own individual facial proportions.
An "artificial" appearance to the nose or a nose that gives the impression of a
mass produced, "one nose fits all" look is to be avoided.
Nasal surgery
can correct a deviated septum and reduce the overall size of the tissues
surrounding the nostrils at the same time. The tip of the nose can be refined
and made more or less prominent, and even raised or lowered during your
rhinoplasty surgery. The elimination of a "hooked" nose or an improved shape to
the bridge of the nose can change your entire profile. In cases where a receding
chin mars the appearance of the profile, a chin correction can often be
performed at the same time. A permanent improvement in the profile can be
achieved through bringing the chin forward or building it up with an
implantation, while a straightening or reduction of the nose is being done.
Operations performed on the nose are technically demanding, requiring
considerable skill and training. Only a highly trained and experienced surgeon
should perform a rhinoplasty operation.
Obtain counselling and treatment
from a recognized authority in this kind of surgery. Let us inform you about the
possibilities of a personal nose surgery complete with viewing "before and
after" photographs of my patients and, if desired, a computer simulation in
selected cases.
